When I shoot photos for other agents, I supply the photos in 3 resolutions. The three sizes are as follows:

2880×1920 (a little more than 1/2 resolution of my camera 5184×3456) for print

1280×720 for our broker website

640×480 for MLS

Problem is that Lightroom sucks at exporting at 3 different crop ratios and resolutions. Or perhaps I suck at lightroom.

My first export is 2880 long edge, which yields 2880×1920.

Then I crop to 1.333:1 and export long edge at 640 to get 640×480. This is my MLS sized file(s).

Then when I go to crop to 1.777, it crops within the prior crop, so I only get a smaller part of the center of the image. This is bad.

SO I have to go and reset the crop first, but then LR also resets Constraint to warp. Aargh. This is also bad.

So I end up undoing the first crop and then applying the second crop, then I can export at 1280 long edge, which yields 1280×720.

What a pain. Should be easy. I should be able to do this with just a couple of clicks of the mouse. And I shouldn’t have to crop before resizing. Why can’t it just resize on export to both a HxW specification? The print module canj using “zoom to fit”. That’s all I’m asking for.

I’ll admit I’m fairly new to lightroom and perhaps there is a way to do it. But it escapes me.
